Where it all began
Fordham Restoration was formed in December 2004. Since this time, we have concentrated on enhancing properties across the Cambridge area, focussing on home extensions and loft conversions. We used to do a lot of stonework, but nowadays we only carry this out as part of a larger extension type projects.
Our extension and loft conversion processes typically cover 10 stages and take between three and 12 months from start to finish completely dependent on size. We will provide you with a project plan prior to starting, so you know what is happening and when, and we'll give you a clear cost estimate before getting started.

Our experience: We have a great team of people who have knowledge and years of experience, allowing us to choose the best materials.
We're proactive: As this might be the first time you have extended your home, we can suggest things as we progress, we are full of ideas from experience.
With you from start to finish: We'll provide a project plan, meaning you know what is going to happen and when. We'll make you aware, in good time, when decisions and choices are required for such things as sanitary wares, tiles, kitchens and floor coverings.
We won't take any money upfront: We'll invoice you after each stage is completed or at agreed times, so we invoice 'behind the work', in effect meaning there is no financial risk to yourselves. Alarm bells should ring if someone wants a large deposit from you before they start.

Every loft conversion or home extension should be built with longevity in mind, to prevent issues down the line. There are only two simple things that matter in this respect: using high-quality materials and having experienced tradesmen to build with them.
